The Air He Breathes By Brittainy C. Cherry

The Air He Breathes - Brittainy C. Cherry

Where should I start?

Elizabeth and Tristan. Tristan and Elizabeth.

Two tragic stories that somehow intertwine more than meets the eye. Well, more than you realize, as soon as you start reading. Beautiful, heartbreaking and most of all, unpredictable. Two broken souls, falling in love with each other and trying to fins themselves. Don't think, even for a second that, there weren't any complications.

The writing was beautiful and you could see the characters' development throughout the book. Tristan and Elizabeth were two of the most likable characters I've ever read about and they were just perfect for each other. They balanced each other out perfectly and managed to heal themselves with this unique bond they formed without even realizing it. And let's just talk about how little Emma stole my heart! I also immensely enjoyed the flashbacks. They were a perfect addition to the story and the backgrounds of the characters.

I finished The Air He Breathes in a day! Which is definitely saying something. I could not put this baby down. It sucked me in since the minute I started and the twists and turns left me completely speechless. I was able to predict the smallest of the twists - not saying which one because that would obviously be a spoiler - but the rest were just...WOW! They didn't even cross my mind. Can't wait to check out more of the author's works.

Definitely recommend this if you're a fan of NA!!! And if you're looking for an amazing book to read in general!

All the Truth That's In Me by Julie Berry

All the Truth That's in Me - Julie Berry

I've had my eye on this for a while and truth be told, I was immensely disappointed. The synopsis made it sound like this, amazing and unique story that would blow my mind. It didn't. Quite the opposite, actually.

The narrative was really interesting but it didn't do much to overshadow the flaws and negative things that I felt for this book. The plot was also pretty fascinating but that's it. I wasn't a big fan of the writing style and I felt like it had major plot holes that I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out. No offense to anyone who has enjoyed this book, but I found it lacking in a lot of ways. The characters weren't likable and I couldn't understand what happened half the time, throughout the whole entire book. There were a lot of details left unexplained and the whole thing felt rushed. Maybe that was the intention of the author but still.

As a reader, I expected more from a story that seemed to be so meaningful and full of depth. I'm almost entirely sure that, if the whole thing was handled kind of differently, it would have been an amazing book. I can't tell you exactly what I mean by that, because I would be here all day writing but I think you get the picture.

Overall, this was not one of my best reads and I really can't recommend it to anyone...

Angelbound By Christina Bauer

Angelbound (Angelbound Origins #1) - Christina Bauer

This was one of those books that I loved from the first chapter. And one of the best books I've read in 2013.The writing was so captivating and I was hooked from the first page. The plot was so clever, unique, original, fascinating,intriguing...the list goes on and on.So many things happened and the story had so many twists it was insane! The character and plot development was great and I loved reading every single page.Angelbound got me so frustrated and I was so anxious to see what would happen next. It's been a while since a book made me feel so excited and I loved it.It was action packed and made me laugh so many times I lost count.

The main character was perfect and I think without her,the book wouldn't be what it turned out to be.She was so mischievous and outspoken. She was such a magnificent heroine who always fought back and stood her ground.I loved her from the beginning and her demon tail was just phenomenal! And I loved the scenes with her and Lincoln. They were so great together!

Another thing I loved about the book was the fact that the author took Heaven and Hell and instead of using known and obvious facts...she built things around them until a new world was created. The realms she created were so detailed and realistic. Each one had its own rulers and I someone can easily believe that they are real.

The secondary characters were also amazing and had a big role in the flow of the story.I have to admit that I wasn't too fond of her best friend Cissy because of her behavior on certain parts of the book.I think the author focused a bit too much on her love interest with Zeke.I can't decide it that's good, bad or a little bit of both.I just think that it was a bit unnecessary. And her jealousy really frustrated me and annoyed me...just a bit.The dreamscapes where Myla discovered everything that happened in the past were really informative and interesting. They made the books even more intriguing and you were able to actually witness scenes of what happened before.

The ending was as exhilarating as the beginning, especially the part where she fights with Armageddon.I was jumping up and down...it was insane.I can't express how much I loved and enjoyed Angelbound. One of my favorites of this year!Highly recommend it to fans of kick ass heroines, amazing fighting scenes...Yeah,this is the book for you.I can't wait for the sequel. And before I finish this review...I will say that the cover is just FANTASTIC!

"I was born with a reading list I will never finish!!!"
