All the Truth That's In Me by Julie Berry

All the Truth That's in Me - Julie Berry

I've had my eye on this for a while and truth be told, I was immensely disappointed. The synopsis made it sound like this, amazing and unique story that would blow my mind. It didn't. Quite the opposite, actually.

The narrative was really interesting but it didn't do much to overshadow the flaws and negative things that I felt for this book. The plot was also pretty fascinating but that's it. I wasn't a big fan of the writing style and I felt like it had major plot holes that I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out. No offense to anyone who has enjoyed this book, but I found it lacking in a lot of ways. The characters weren't likable and I couldn't understand what happened half the time, throughout the whole entire book. There were a lot of details left unexplained and the whole thing felt rushed. Maybe that was the intention of the author but still.

As a reader, I expected more from a story that seemed to be so meaningful and full of depth. I'm almost entirely sure that, if the whole thing was handled kind of differently, it would have been an amazing book. I can't tell you exactly what I mean by that, because I would be here all day writing but I think you get the picture.

Overall, this was not one of my best reads and I really can't recommend it to anyone...
